Genjo Koan

Living outside a monastery makes the practice of zen a bit more obfuscated for me...it's a monastic practice that is centered around a shared schedule and a sangha of practitioners, lead by an experienced teacher. Not having anything remotely like that in Boise, I find myself drawn to Dogen's Genjo Koan...the practice of The Issue at Hand. I've been listening to Gil Fronsdal's talk and have been reading Dogen's text. I am finding it quite heartening and comforting. I thought that there might be other wholehearted students of the way out there who would consider it refuge and nourishment, as well.
