Zen Practice with Rev. Colin Gipson, Saturday, July 6th, 9-4, North End Wellness

Colin Gipson, guiding teacher at San Antonio Zen Center, will be leading a day of practice at North End Wellness, Saturday, July 6th from 9-4.

We will spend the day alternating periods of zazen/sitting meditation and kinhin/walking meditation.  Colin will give a dharma talk in the morning and we will have an opportunity for dharma discussion.  Colin will also be available for private practice discussions.

There will be an opportunity for practicing with the paramita of generosity/dana. We will be collecting donations to help cover Colin's travel expenses and to support his  teaching of the dharma.  I have included links to Gil Fronsdal's writings regarding generosity, http://www.insightmeditationcenter.org/books-articles/the-issue-at-hand/en/9/, http://www.insightmeditationcenter.org/books-articles/the-issue-at-hand/en/10/    I appreciate his kind and grounded perspective.  I have copies of The Issue at Hand, if you would like to read the entire book, too!

And! You are welcome to practice with us regardless of your ability to donate.

For those of you able and interested, we are going to meet for dinner at 5 or 530 after sitting, at an easily accessible restaurant. Suggestions encouraged!  Please send me your ideas and we can decide together.

Feel free to join us for all or part of the day.
